The Spanish Triathlon Cup opens the curtain on the Multisport World Championships to be held in Ibiza

This Sunday will be the last stop of the last stop of the Spanish Triathlon Cup, middle and long distance. The island will once again be the national epicentre of triathlon, in an event that will welcome hundreds of triathletes, as it does every year.

It is expected to be the most hotly contested edition in recent years. with a magnificent poster which will include the reigning Spanish champion, Víctor Arroyo, Pablo Dapena and the Australian triathlete Nick Kastelein, among others. In the women's category, Anna Noguera is expected to compete against rivals such as Laura Gómez, Lucía Blanco or the locals Indre Barkute and Susana Sevillano.

This weekend's engagement will be the prelude to the World Multisport Championships. Ibiza 2023This is an unbeatable testing ground for the Multisport World Cup, as they will be able to compete in similar conditions to those they will have at the World Cup.

The World Championships are scheduled to start on Saturday 29 April with the Elite, Under-23, Junior and Age Group Sprint Duathlon, followed the next day by the Paraduathlon, Age Group Standard Distance and Mixed Relay Duathlon. All the World Championships will start and finish in Santa Eulalia, a town located on the east coast of Ibiza.

On Monday 1st May, also in Santa Eulalia, it will be the turn of the Aquathlon. The Cros events will take place in San Antonio, on the west coast of the island, on Wednesday 3rd May (the Duathlon) and Friday 5th May (the Triathlon).

Finally, on Sunday 7 May, the Long Distance Triathlon and Aquabike World Championships will be held in Ibiza town.
